For now I have some much-needed space in the cave that will finally allow me room to start rebuilding the Jota. The re-bored barrels and new pistons are on their way back here so pretty soon you will start to see proper progress. Watch this space.
Took POP out today for it's first run up the dirt track. It feels so powerful after the Atlas. It was a sweet bike but the triple motor has a LOT more mumbo. It was going really well, minor carb glitch that I will fettle over the winter. First ride with the new angle handlebars, new m-Unit and some other parts since the rear wheel bearing shat itself. Despite the roads being cold and greasy as hell it was a good run. First chance to try out my new waterproof jacket- Man, it's really warm and not at all restrictive on the bike. Modern technology in action.
In preparation for the ride up the dirt track to the main road I bought a pump-up backpack spray system, normally used for spraying weedkiller etc. There is no hose facility where I am now so I bought this to be able to hose the mud off the bike. Slow but worked well. Hopefully the mud and puddles won't be a permanent fixture here. Will take pics of it tomorrow in case you can't visualise it.
